The Activities Keep Getting Hotter as the Summer Goes On

The first Concert at the Park in Wilsonville will take place on Thursday August 5th and you couldn’t ask for a bigger or better star to see.  The 2010 Soul Blues Male Artist of the Year, Curtis Salgado will be performing at the park with his incredible mix of R&B, blues and soul – this is truly an event that no one should miss.  Salgado is the legendary performer who inspired John Belushi to create the Blues Brothers and his music and live performances never fail to fully entertain and captivate an audience.

Seats, blankets and a bus ride to and from the Park to see this incredible show will be provided to Wilsonville residents – all you have to worry about is getting to the bus on time to be able to enjoy the show.  We will be departing at 5:45 for the concert, which starts at six thirty – mark your calendar, because this is definitely going to be one of the best events of the Summer thus far.

For those of you with friends, relatives or loved ones who’ve been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s there is a support group meeting on Wednesday August fourth at 6:30 in the Vlahos Theater.  You’ll be able to ask and get answers to pertinent questions about the onset and progression of the disease and get information on how to deal with the upcoming changes and challenges that you will face because of it.  The meeting is open to the public and will surely provide helpful information to all who attend.
